An Inward Elbow Strike (also called a Turning Elbow Strike or palkup dollyo chigi) is one example of an elbow strike, i.e., a strike made with the elbow. The idea of the Inward Elbow Strike is that elbow is moving upward and inward to strike your opponent's chin or nose. When used in Taegeuk Oh Jang, for example, the fist of the striking arm is brought into the palm of the off-hand to provide additional force.
