South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) is a central government agency responsible for promoting tourism, Korean culture (including art and religion), and sports (including taekwondo). The MCST's International Sports Division is the sponsoring agency for the Kukkiwon, the Korean national academy for Taekwondo. The fact that Kukkiwon-style (i.e., WTF-style) taekwondo is government-sponsored makes it unique among taekwondo styles.
MCST headquarters are located in the Sejong Government Complex in Sejong City. The total staff numbers approximately 2,200 people.
